GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Grand Rapids area was well represented at Saturday's boys track and field state finals, with six local athletes ending the day as champions.

Perhaps the biggest surprise among the local champs was the GR Christian 1,600-meter relay team, which raced to the front of the pack after feet got tangled up and a runner from Spring Lake's top-seeded squad went down in the final 20 meters.
